About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our team at Aegon Asia. As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will play a key role in analyzing and understanding user needs to ensure accurate fulfillment of data requirements from internal business customers.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and document user needs to ensure accurate data requirements;
  • Conduct and facilitate internal testing and user acceptance testing;
  • Facilitate Agile processes and champion data governance and audits;
  • Develop and maintain expertise with Microsoft Business Intelligence tools, including Power BI, SSIS, and SSAS;
  • Develop database and data presentation solutions to deliver information to end-users accurately and efficiently;
  • Continuously develop expertise in data and data models within the data warehouse and supported business domains;
  • Manage vendors and guide best practice standards on design and coding principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent education;
  • Minimum of 4 years' work experience within the Data Warehouse/BI sector;
  • Strong understanding of BI concepts and tools;
  • Demonstrated ability to write SQL queries;
  • Significant hands-on experience in MS BI tools and the application of data to solve business problems;
  • Good working knowledge of Azure/AWS platform and their offerings;
  • Working knowledge of multiple IT platforms;
  • Proven problem-solving ability and a willingness to think outside-the-box.
