Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team at the City University of Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and analysing data to produce intelligence reports that inform strategic planning and effective operations in support of non-local student recruitment and campus internationalisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and compile application and student data to inform strategic planning and action plans for non-local student recruitment, scholarship review, and partnership cultivation;
  • Analyse and interpret leads and data from internal databases, public sources, websites, social media platforms, and subscription-based sources to obtain business intelligence;
  • Conduct data analysis and data simulations to facilitate strategic planning and implementation of campus internationalisation initiatives;
  • Design and prepare regular reports, including enrolment statistic reports and facts and figures archives, to meet business needs;
  • Handle ad-hoc data enquiries from internal and external users;
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements

A Bachelor's degree or above in Business Analysis/Statistics/Data Science/Engineering/Computer Science/Marketing Research/Management Science/Information System or a related discipline; at least 7 years of working experience, preferably in business consulting, business intelligence, insight generation, marketing research, and/or database management experience; strong sense of responsibility; excellent analytical, coordination, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills; proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, and Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint and/or Google Spreadsheet and Slides are required. Integrity is essential.

Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Assistant Manager (Data).

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.
