Job Title: Assistant Vice President, Business Intelligence & Analytics

Location: Hong Kong

Job Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team: Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence in data-driven decision-making, leading and developing a high-performing team of data engineers, business analysts, and other technical staff.
  2. Strategic Data Management: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of critical data management systems, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of data.
  3. Business Intelligence Roadmap: Develop and implement a comprehensive business intelligence and analytics roadmap aligned with the company's strategic priorities and business objectives.
  4. Data Visualization and Reporting: Develop and implement data visualization and reporting dashboards to effectively communicate insights to key stakeholders across the organization.
  5. Collaboration and Project Management: Collaborate closely with business leaders to identify data and analytical projects with high impact potential and manage these projects to successful delivery.
  6. Innovation and Technology Advancement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in business intelligence, analytics, and data platform development.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  2. Professional Experience: At least 10+ years of progressive experience in business intelligence, analytics, or a related field, with a proven track record in developing and implementing successful data strategies.
  3. Leadership Experience: 5+ years of experience in leading and managing high-performing teams, preferably within a data engineering context.
  4. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of data management practices, including data governance, data quality management, metadata management, and data security. Proficient in data integration, storage, processing, analytics, and visualization technologies.
  5. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential, with the capability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  6. Problem-solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues and find efficient solutions in data integration, scalability, performance optimization, or troubleshooting.
