About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence & Analytics leader to join our team at HKT. As Assistant Vice President, you will play a crucial role in driving our strategic decision-making and enhancing business performance through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Development: Lead and develop a high-performing team of data engineers, business analysts, and other technical staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence in data-driven decision-making.
  • Strategic Data Management: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of critical data management systems, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of data.
  • Business Intelligence Roadmap: Develop and implement a comprehensive business intelligence and analytics roadmap aligned with the company's strategic priorities and business objectives.
  • Data Visualization and Reporting: Develop and implement data visualization and reporting dashboards to effectively communicate insights to key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Collaboration and Project Management: Collaborate closely with business leaders to identify data and analytical projects with high impact potential and manage these projects to successful delivery.
  • Innovation and Technology Advancement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices in business intelligence, analytics, and data platform development.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 10+ years of progressive experience in business intelligence, analytics, or a related field, with a proven track record in developing and implementing successful data strategies.
  • Leadership Experience: 5+ years of experience in leading and managing high-performing teams, preferably within a data engineering context.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of data management practices, including data governance, data quality management, metadata management, and data security. Proficient in data integration, storage, processing, analytics, and visualization technologies.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential, with the capability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Problem-solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues and find efficient solutions in data integration, scalability, performance optimization, or troubleshooting.
