Your Opportunity at ARC'TERYX: As the Sourcing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of sourcing strategies. Collaborating with a team of skilled sourcing, quality, and raw materials experts, you will work towards achieving key business objectives, fostering collaboration between Arc'teryx Headquarters and the Hong Kong Sourcing Office. Your responsibilities will include managing a network of established vendor partners, continuously seeking innovative solutions and processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize supply chain capabilities.

Our mission is to build and implement a sustainable global sourcing strategy that ensures the delivery of exceptional products at the right quality, cost, and timing.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist in driving partnerships with vendors to achieve top-tier supply chain performance that supports business growth.
- Lead and mentor sourcing specialists, developing the team's competencies to meet cost, quality, and market speed requirements.
- Support sourcing management in negotiating and resolving production capacity challenges.
- Analyze vendor performance metrics to identify risks and implement necessary mitigation strategies.
- Research and evaluate new vendors to support business and capacity expansion.
- Facilitate vendor development and relationship management with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Assist in onboarding and training new vendors, continuously enhancing capabilities across the vendor base.
- Provide support to the Sustainability team regarding compliance and ESG management.
- Conduct analysis of past and current cost breakdowns to identify areas for long-term margin improvement.
- Coordinate and manage vendor setup and supply agreement processes.
Future Opportunities:
- Support sourcing management in transforming delivery KPI reporting into a more robust real-time online dashboard.
- Propose structured processes for seasonal purchasing conditions prior to business allocations.
- Identify additional sourcing responsibilities for the team.
- Engage more deeply in capacity negotiations with primary vendors.
- Collaborate with current and prospective vendors to propose ongoing improvements for efficiency and cost savings.
- Develop a talent pipeline and create career advancement opportunities that inspire and challenge the team.
Are you the ideal candidate for the Sourcing Manager role at Arc'teryx Hong Kong Sourcing Office?
- A degree in Merchandising, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Over 8 years of experience in apparel sourcing or merchandising within a global organization.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain and logistics.
- Proven track record with domestic and offshore vendors and manufacturers.
- Extensive understanding of raw materials, technical construction, and sourcing, with footwear experience being a plus.
- Expertise in negotiation, problem-solving, and multitasking.
- Assertive with a high level of self-initiative.
- Fluency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook; knowledge of ERP & PLM systems is advantageous.
