This role plays a crucial part in enhancing and executing best practices in Global Sourcing for designated product categories. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the execution of sourcing processes and managing vendor relationships.
- Improving the end-to-end sourcing workflow, including vendor management, price negotiations, product development, and sample evaluations to achieve on-time delivery, quality, and commercial objectives.
- Identifying and developing potential vendors while nurturing collaborative relationships with existing suppliers to ensure compliance with company standards in value, quality, and innovation.
- Coordinating with various stakeholders in sample management, order processing, laboratory testing, and packaging approvals.
- Supporting Requests for Proposals, category costing bids, and product development in collaboration with sourcing teams.
- Assisting in the organization of product development trips and sourcing events to ensure seamless execution.
- Managing order accuracy and maintaining project status updates for assigned product categories.
- Performing data entry and providing administrative support as needed, including assistance with ad hoc projects.
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Merchandising, Business Management, or a related field.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Chinese Word Processing.
- A minimum of one year of relevant work experience.
Additional Skills:
- Energetic, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Mandarin.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% as required.
Preferred Experience:
- Basic sourcing experience from a U.S. buying office or retailer is advantageous.
