Job Description:

Job Summary: We are seeking an accomplished Audio Visual Subject Matter Expert to serve as the primary technical support contact for clients in the support of delivered systems within our Global Services team.

About the Position: As an Audio Visual Subject Matter Expert, you will manage client estates globally, ensuring maximum reliability, serviceability, and efficiency in all aspects of support. Your primary responsibility will be to act as the main client contact, providing expert support for the client AV estate, understanding internal client processes, and fostering strong operational relationships.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Provide in-depth troubleshooting and user support for reported service issues, often remotely.
  2. Deliver user training to end-clients and support teams on best practices for system use and support scenarios.
  3. Fault-find audio visual and video conferencing systems to a high standard, under pressure.
  4. Configure and provision systems on VC infrastructure, create phonebooks, and perform codec configurations.
  5. Upload code to Crestron devices, configure and troubleshoot DSPs, and support IPTV systems.
  6. Work closely with commissioning contacts to ensure systems meet commissioning guidelines and policies.
  7. Collaborate with design teams to ensure systems are optimally installed and functioning.
  8. Attend project meetings to contribute to design and support considerations.
  9. Conduct Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) to finalise system adjustments before client handover.
  10. Support Project Managers in delivering successful projects.
  11. Negotiate with suppliers and manufacturers to enhance technical knowledge and project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Proven technical expertise in AV & VC equipment (various brands).
  • Strong understanding of computer software and hardware systems.
  • Network knowledge for audio and video conference network fault-finding.
  • Digital/analog signal understanding (HDMI, DisplayPort, etc.).
  • Site survey and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret schematic drawings.
