Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Product Management division in formulating and implementing the strategy for the Post-Trade Product portfolio.
  • Establish and lead the execution of the target operational framework for the Post-Trade sector.
  • Conduct regular assessments of the product portfolio to ensure its market relevance and sustainability.
  • Stay informed on regulatory and policy developments, ensuring that product and service offerings align with these changes.
  • Collaborate with Operations to design and implement scalable, automated, and economically viable operational frameworks that can adapt to evolving business and regulatory demands.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance the product offerings, identifying opportunities for improvement in process efficiency, risk mitigation, and cost reduction to meet profitability targets.
  • Engage collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including Sales, Legal, Credit, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and clients.
  • Identify new business prospects and develop innovative products and service offerings.
  • Oversee and monitor the performance and deliverables of service providers.
Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in Post-Trade operations within a reputable financial institution.
  • A university degree; relevant professional qualifications or a master's degree would be advantageous.
  • Extensive experience in securities services, particularly in Hong Kong, Stock Connect, and Bond Connect markets; familiarity with international markets is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of CCASS/CMU operations, as well as HKSCC rules and local regulatory frameworks is preferred.
  • Experience with SWIFT systems is essential.
  • Knowledge of Settlement Agent models and Third Party Clearing is an advantage.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effective interaction with peers and senior management.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
  • Practical experience in Product Development, Clearing & Custody Operations, and Project Delivery is preferred.
  • Results-driven, proactive, and self-motivated; ability to function as both a team player and an independent contributor.
  • Highly organized with strong multitasking and time management abilities.
  • Resourceful, open-minded, detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications and Microsoft tools is essential.
  • A collaborative team player, capable of supporting and working closely with internal and external parties while also being able to work independently.
  • Able to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Fund and Trustee services is an advantage.
  • Candidates with less experience may be considered for the role of Assistant Vice President.
