Job Title: Vessel Manager

Atlas Corp. is seeking a highly skilled Vessel Manager to join our team. As a Vessel Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, reliable, and economical operation of assigned vessels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with local and international rules and regulations, as well as Seaspan's Safety Management System (SMS).
  • Monitor vessel performance and relay information to the onboard master and chief engineer.
  • Prepare budgets for vessel operations, dry dockings, surveys, and repairs.
  • Manage vessels in full compliance with charter-party terms of employment and other commercial concerns.
  • Visit vessels in port and may sail with Seaspan ships to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Requirements:
  • At least one year of experience as a technical superintendent in a company managing handy-max sized vessels.
  • Class 1 marine engineer certificate.
  • Strong technical knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • English language skills, both verbal and written, suitable for a multi-cultural working environment.
Additional Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working with container ships.
  • Education in mechanical engineering or naval architecture.
