Job Overview

The (Assistant) Sales Manager is a crucial role within Informa Markets in Asia, responsible for driving revenue growth through new customer acquisition and existing account management. This position requires a dynamic individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with clients across various regions and cultures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Revenue generation through booth sales, digital sales, sponsorship/advertisement, and fully integrated packages for both new and existing customers.
  • Generation of new business leads through outreach to prospective clients, participation in industry trade shows, and market research.
  • Development of brand- and industry-specific information to enhance new business sales performance.
  • Lead on onsite rebooking and customer retention strategies throughout the year.
  • Liaise with the event and sales operations team regarding available floor plan spots.
  • Utilize Salesforce System to adopt sales pipeline processes and maintain data quality.
  • Support overdue payment collection for accounts together with the sales operations team.

Requirements:
  • University Bachelor's Degree from any discipline.
  • At least 5 years of sales or business development experience.
  • Digital-savvy, open-minded, and possessing strong resilience.
  • Experience managing relationships with international customers across various regions and cultures.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively and handle customer objections proactively.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and interpersonal skills with high enthusiasm.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce CRM is desirable.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
  • Occasional travel may be required.
