Your Role
We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our growing ML team and take on the critical task of optimising the performance of our models. This involves leveraging expertise in system programming, optimisation, and performance analysis to ensure our models are running efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimise the performance of our machine learning models, focusing on efficient large-scale training, low-latency inference in real-time systems, and high-throughput inference in research.
- Improve CUDA performance, as well as consider a whole-systems approach, including storage systems, networking, and host- and GPU-level considerations.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure our platform makes sense even at the lowest level, including evaluating throughput and goodput, and investigating the impact of loading vectors from the L2 cache.
- Develop a deep understanding of modern ML techniques, toolsets, and library knowledge, including Triton, CUTLASS, CUB, Thrust, cuDNN, and cuBLAS.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the field and contribute to the improvement of our ML platform.
Requirements
- Strong background in low-level systems programming and performance analysis.
- Experience with modern ML techniques, toolsets, and library knowledge.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Fluency in English and excellent communication skills.
- A passion for solving complex technical problems and staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.
