Are you a developer passionate about AI and writing beautiful code? We're looking for an aspiring Software Developer to join our AI products team in Hong Kong. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work with our latest lab in the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park, shaping the future of insurance with data science, machine learning, and AI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build high-performing and scalable data analytics pipelines for real-life customer and business issues
  • Write well-designed, efficient code that can be tested and refined
  • Influence the AI roadmap for Canada's largest home, auto, and business insurer
  • Explore and master new technologies to use in your own solutions
  • Grow alongside a diverse team of experts in data science, software engineering, actuarial science, business, and design

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, AI, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Python or other languages such as Java, C++, C#, etc.
  • Familiarity with our tech stack or similar technologies: AWS, Kafka, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Terraform, React JS
  • Ability to solve vaguely defined issues requiring a creative approach
  • Strong communication, time management, and work organization skills
  • Unlimited curiosity and willingness to challenge the status quo
  • Ability to work with others on software engineering practices such as Git, CICD, computing efficiency optimization, etc.
  • Experience in software development, ML engineering, or AI products is an asset
  • If you don't have experience in AI, a strong desire to immerse yourself in this exciting field
