Vessel Operations Manager

Atlas Corp. is seeking a highly skilled Vessel Manager to join our team. As a Vessel Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, reliable, and economical operation of assigned vessels.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure compliance with local and international rules and regulations, as well as Seaspan's Safety Management System (SMS).
- Monitor vessel performance and relay information to the onboard master and chief engineer.
- Prepare budgets for vessel operations, dry dockings, surveys, and repairs.
- Manage vessel maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
- Coordinate with shore-based teams to ensure seamless vessel operations.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve vessel performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a technical superintendent in a company managing handy-max sized vessels.
- Class 1 marine engineer certificate.
- Strong technical knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience working with container ships.
- Education in mechanical engineering or naval architecture.
