**Marine Superintendent**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Superintendent to join our team at Novo Recruitment Solutions Pte Ltd. As a Marine Superintendent, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessels.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Provide Support to the Marine Manager**: Collaborate with the Marine Manager to ensure the effective implementation of company policies and procedures.
  • **Ensure Vessel Compliance**: Verify that all vessels under your supervision meet company standards and international regulations.
  • **Conduct Marine Visits**: Regularly visit vessels to identify areas for improvement and provide training to crew members.
  • **Perform Internal Audits**: Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • **Promote Energy Efficiency and Environmental Awareness**: Encourage crew members to adopt energy-efficient practices and promote environmental awareness.
  • **Support Masters in Bridge Procedures**: Assist Masters in applying bridge procedures and navigational practices according to company and regulatory standards.
  • **Enforce Stringent Standards for Cargo Operations**: Support Masters in enforcing stringent standards for planning, monitoring, and executing cargo operations.
  • **Identify Training Needs**: Identify training needs during marine visits and provide training where possible.
  • **Stay Informed about Charter Party Agreements**: Stay up-to-date on charter party agreements and ensure Masters are aware of key terms.
  • **Track and Follow up on Issues**: Track and follow up on issues identified during third-party inspections and maintain documentation in the CAPE database.
  • **Assist the Vetting Team Leader**: Assist the Vetting Team Leader in addressing client needs as required.
  • **Monitor Terminal Satisfaction Reports**: Monitor Terminal Satisfaction Reports and Letters of Protest, ensuring timely investigations and implementation of corrective actions.
  • **Conduct Briefings**: Conduct briefings as directed by the Marine Manager.
  • **Participate in Interviews**: Participate in interviews for potential Master or Chief Officer candidates.
  • **Conduct Investigations**: Conduct investigations into accidents and incidents.
  • **Handle Projects**: Handle projects or tasks assigned by the Marine Manager.
Requirements
  • **At Least Two Years of Command Experience**: Possess at least two years of command experience at sea.
  • **Strong Knowledge of Industry Standards**: Have a strong knowledge of industry standards, guidelines, and international regulations.
  • **Operational Understanding of Vessel Types**: Have an in-depth operational understanding of the vessel types under your supervision.
  • **Experience in Internal Auditing**: Have experience and training in internal auditing.
  • **Expertise in Incident Investigation**: Possess expertise in incident investigation.
  • **Background in Risk Management**: Have a background in risk management with relevant education and experience.
  • **Skills in Marine Inspections**: Possess skills and experience in marine inspections.
  • **Collaborative and Communication Skills**: Have the ability to work collaboratively with others and strong communication skills.
  • **Proven Experience in Managing Wet Fleet**: Have proven experience in managing Wet Fleet (Tankers, etc.).
