Vessel Operations Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vessel Operations Manager to join our team at Novo Recruitment Solutions Pte Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our vessels, ensuring that they are maintained in accordance with our company's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting and Data Analysis
- Manage regular reports from vessels assigned to you and file them in a structured approach.
- Review and follow up on routine reports from the vessel.
- Operational Planning and Coordination
- Carry out regular data analysis of costs, PMS, and other KPI factors to ascertain the health of the ship as far as ship management is concerned.
- Formulate a dynamic work plan and action list with the vessel's command to ensure that the vessel is maintained in accordance with our company's policy.
- On-Site Visits and Inspections
- Visit the vessels as and when required and report on the general condition, repairs, and maintenance, crew performance, safety, environmental protection, and any actions required.
- Discuss with Ship's Command the work plan, running costs, spares, and stores, and other issues of concern and report on same.
- Technical Support and Analysis
- Prepare technical specs for dockings and pre-purchase inspections in the Asia region.
- Assist in carrying out technical analysis for new purchases.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar capacity on Oil Tankers.
- Prior experience as Chief or Second Engineer with minimum sailing experience preferably on Oil Tankers. Otherwise, sailing experience on Oil Tankers is required.
- Skills and Knowledge
- Prior experience in dry docking and technical management will be an advantage.
- Candidate should have good knowledge of PMS and SMS systems.
