\About the Job:
\We are seeking a highly skilled freelance translator with experience in Japanese to Thai translation, specifically in the gaming industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in language and linguistics, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
\Key Responsibilities:

- Translate Japanese source text into high-quality Thai text, adhering to the client's requirements and specifications\
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure timely completion of projects and meet client expectations\
- Provide accurate and precise translations, paying close attention to terminology, grammar, and punctuation\
- Work effectively in a remote environment, communicating regularly with the project team and clients via email or other digital platforms\
- Continuously improve translation skills and knowledge by attending training sessions, workshops, and conferences\
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection policies when working on sensitive projects\
- Become familiar with CAT tools and other software used in the translation process\
- Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility when working on different projects and tight deadlines\\-
- Develop a strong understanding of gaming terminology, genres, and localization best practices\\-
- Effectively communicate with the project team and clients, providing regular updates on project progress and status\-
- Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality translations within agreed-upon timeframes\-
- Participate in quality control processes to ensure translations meet the required standards\-
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the project manager or team lead\
Requirements:

- Native-level proficiency in Thai, with a strong understanding of its grammar, syntax, and cultural nuances\
- Excellent written and spoken Japanese skills, with experience in translating Japanese to Thai\
- Prior experience in playing games in Thai for at least 2 years and still actively playing games currently\
- Experience in using CAT tools and other software relevant to the translation process\
- Familiarity with gaming terminologies, genres, and localization best practices\
- Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and strong organizational skills\-
- A degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies or an equivalent degree that includes significant translation training from a recognized institution of higher education OR 2 years of translation experience and a college degree OR 5 years of translation experience and no college degree\-
- A certificate of competence in translation awarded by an appropriate government body\-
- Passion for games, with a strong interest in the gaming industry and its localizations\-
- Ability to work well in a team environment, with excellent interpersonal and written communication skills\-
- Strong drive, positive attitude, and ability to thrive and deliver in a fast-paced, innovative, and creative environment\-
- Self-motivation, with a proactive approach to learning and self-improvement\-
- Adaptability, flexibility, and willingness to take on new challenges\-
