Job Opportunity: Senior IT Project Manager

Tia is a global Intellectual Property leader operating as a closely integrated network with more than 800 professionals working out of 20 offices in 16 jurisdictions. Our focus exclusively on IP, from strategic consulting, patents and trademarks through to domain names, copyright, designs, and geographical indications.

In this senior project leadership role, you will lead a globally distributed team to oversee Tia's Practice Management System (PMS) migration from Elite Enterprise to Elite 3E. In addition to overseeing this systems migration, you will facilitate discussions on accompanying process improvements across Tia's financial operations.

This role has extremely high visibility and you will be working very closely with the global Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in London as well as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) in Hong Kong. You will also collaborate with the vendor's Project Manager and be supported by their world-class implementation team, in addition to Tia business and technology project headcount across the globe.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Taking charge of the definition, approach, and execution of the Elite 3E migration project.
  • Delivering the project management across an organization of 900 staff, a global finance team of 60 people, and a core project team of around 20 people, distributed globally.
  • Managing key dependencies with parallel Chrome River (AP) and Pre-Bill Approval (AR) projects.
  • Managing and collaborating with diverse global stakeholders to deliver impactful changes across the business.
  • Maintaining world-class project status reporting and steering forums.
  • Overseeing the Project Budget in absolute alignment with Group Finance.
  • Overseeing a highly disciplined Project Change Control process.
  • Communicating effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Formally identifying, reporting upon, and mitigating project risks to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Maintaining realistic project plans with a clear focus on the Critical Path.
  • Negotiating resource availability as required with Lines of Business, supported by the CFO and CIO.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience running large, globally distributed projects and working across many cultures.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience running ERP-style projects.
  • Prince2, PMP, or a similar formal project management qualification.
  • Extremely strong verbal and written English language skills.
  • A Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Technology, or related disciplines.
  • An understanding of baseline accounting principles and corporate financial processes.
  • Experience in a professional services environment would be beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail with exemplary interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A deeply collaborative work style with a preference for respectful, productive communications.
  • A willingness to travel occasionally, mostly throughout Asia, UK, and Europe.
Estimated Salary Range:

$120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
