Job Role

The Medical Advisor will be responsible for providing specialist medical/scientific strategic input for Hong Kong into core medical affairs activities such as healthcare professional/provider interactions, educational initiatives, patient safety, and clinical research projects.

This role involves working closely with the brand team to provide strategic medical input into assigned brand strategies. The successful candidate will develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of assigned products/therapeutic areas through attendance at key meetings, training sessions, congresses, and seminars, as well as regular self-study of literature.

Main Responsibilities

  • Healthcare Professional/Provider Interactions: Provides specialist medical/scientific input for Hong Kong into core medical affairs activities such as healthcare professional/provider interactions (Payers, Patients, Prescribers, and Providers)
  • Educational Initiatives: Develops and delivers educational programs for healthcare professionals individually or in groups (meetings, clinical sessions, etc.), where appropriate
  • Patient Safety: Safeguards patient safety through risk minimization activities/safety surveillance activities
  • Clinical Research Projects: Designs and implements clinical research projects within defined standards and budgets

Key Qualifications

  • An advanced degree or experience in a neuroscience discipline is preferred
  • Experience in developing and maintaining expert knowledge for assigned therapeutic areas and in medical research in general
  • Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with thought leaders, physicians, and other healthcare decision makers
  • Excellent written and oral English and Chinese language skills
  • A high customer orientation and a strong commitment to compliance with relevant rules and procedures, and to scientific quality and integrity
