We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Shangri-La. This is an exceptional opportunity for a talented individual to join a world-class hotel group and drive the success of our food and beverage operations.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in prestigious hotels or restaurants, with at least 3 years in a similar capacity. They will be responsible for leading a team of chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring high-quality food production, and implementing cost control and menu engineering strategies to maximize profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of chefs and kitchen staff to deliver exceptional culinary experiences
  • Develop and implement menus that showcase authentic Italian cuisine, leveraging extensive knowledge and exposure in this area
  • Manage cost control and menu engineering initiatives to optimize profit margins and improve food quality
  • Operate a large kitchen with multiple food stations, ensuring efficient food production and minimizing waste
  • Cultivate strong relationships with customers and staff, demonstrating excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, applying innovative ideas to drive business growth
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in luxury hotels or restaurants, with at least 3 years in a similar role
  • Extensive knowledge of authentic Italian cuisine, with a passion for innovation and creativity
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on cost control and menu engineering
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced kitchen environment
