Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inquiries and concerns from retail and institutional clients through various communication channels including in-person meetings, phone calls, emails, and online messaging.
  • Investigate and resolve a diverse range of client questions and issues related to the account initiation process.
  • Manage multiple tasks with a strong focus on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations while addressing incoming customer inquiries.
  • Acquire comprehensive knowledge of the IB Brokerage platform and policies to provide alternatives that address customer concerns while adhering to established guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with Legal and Compliance teams, Program Developers, and Project Managers to ensure adherence to both new and existing procedures and regulatory standards.
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify, analyze, and escalate complex issues effectively.
  • Exhibit strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Take personal accountability for recognizing client needs and delivering a high-value experience.
  • Exhibit efficiency, self-motivation, and diligence in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Work in tandem with other New Account teams and the Risk Assessment Team to ensure thorough review and evaluation of all financial crime risks.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Preferred experience of 2-3 years in Client Service and/or Financial Services. Recent graduates with degrees in Finance, Law, Accounting, or Information Systems who demonstrate the right aptitude will also be considered.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Cantonese; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a brokerage or corporate banking environment, showcasing the ability to handle client concerns with professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Strong research, investigative, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Ability to juggle various projects and initiatives effectively.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel is required.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team while managing multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.
