Job Title:

Vice President - Asset Management - Private Wealth Sales, Greater China

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Vice President to join our Brookfield Asset Management team in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving wealth management sales across Greater China, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China onshore. The role will involve building new relationships and deepening penetrations with private banks, wealth managers, and securities firms who provide alternative fund and solutions to their high-net-worth client base.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Grow Brookfield's wealth management business in Greater China, including client outreach and coverage in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China onshore.
  • Deepen the relationship with distributors across client's product, specialist, IC, RM teams, increase wallet share, maximize AUM raise, deepen product penetration, drive cross-sell opportunities.
  • Initiate meetings and sales activities to create constant demand; arrange roadshows, seminars, client events, 1-1 meetings, etc.
  • Manage all aspects of the sales life cycle. Take ownership and stay on top of client matters.
  • Drive profitable growth by developing and managing long-term relationships with key partners.
  • Able to achieve targets for assets under management (AuM) and revenue generation.
Requirements:
  • Strong track record of wealth management fund raising and business development.
  • Quantifiable track record of raising capital within wealth management channel.
  • Experience in alternatives including private real estate, infrastructure, private equity, semi-liquids, and liquid real assets.
  • Solid product knowledge, be able to present the products and handle questions professionally.
  • A strong network of relationships within the private wealth channel in the Greater China region, preferably with knowledge or experience in Taiwan and onshore China fund distribution.
  • Appropriate degree in business/accounting/finance.
  • At least 8-10 years' experience in capital raising roles for private wealth/intermediary sales channel in Hong Kong/Greater China.
Competencies:
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English. Cantonese is a plus.
  • Outstanding relationship-building, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in dealings with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Able to adapt to fast-changing environment, organized, and detailed-oriented.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparation and delivery of presentations.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with respect to managing workload and new business origination.
  • Experienced working in an international organization and willingness to be flexible with hours as part of a global organization.
