Assistant Vice President, On Exchange Settlement

Job Summary:
Support daily settlement operations in cash markets, escalation, review rules and operational procedures, participate in projects, and liaise with external clients, regulators, and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform checker role for daily settlement operations in HK and China Connect markets;
- Act as main support in exception handling and make appropriate escalation and recommendation;
- Support model formulation, draft user requirements for systems, prepare UAT cases with test plans, review IOP and amend Clearing Houses Rules and Operational Procedures for new business initiatives;
- Collaborate with internal departments and liaise with external business counterparts in operation issues;
- Browse workflow enhancement for gaining operational efficiency and accuracy;
- Support projects specifically in China Connect, cash clearing infrastructure, and other related systems;
- Provide junior teammates with guidance, career development, and feedback.
Requirements:
- University Degree, preferably in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related disciplines;
- At least 8 years' relevant working experience (preferably in Cash and Derivatives operations), of which at least 2 years at managerial level with people management experience, in well-established financial organizations;
- Knowledge of China Connect, CCASS, and DCASS operations, securities, and money settlement cycle in Cash and Derivatives markets;
- Knowledge of HKSCC/HKCC/SEOCH Rules and Procedures and local regulatory framework is preferred;
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communications, analytical, problem-solving, writing, and presentation skills;
- Good PowerPoint/Excel/Access skills; visual basic programming an advantage;
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua an advantage.
