Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Senior Buyer to join our team at Christian Dior Couture. As a key member of our Regional Merchandising team, you will play a critical role in defining and coordinating ready-to-wear strategies across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Buying Function:
    • Develop and implement merchandising strategies for the region in collaboration with the team.
    • Define the product mix of ready-to-wear for each market, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
    • Prepare seasonal open-to-buy plans in conjunction with the Business Planning Team.
    • Attend seasonal buying sessions in Paris to ensure the selection of the best merchandise at optimal quantities and sizes to achieve targeted sales projections and sell-through.
    • Prepare sales forecasts for products, providing accurate and reliable data to inform business decisions.
    • Work closely with the Supply Chain Department to ensure efficient production, distribution, and allocation of merchandise.
  • Merchandising Function:
    • Act as the coordinator for all ready-to-wear related issues between Paris HQ, countries, and boutiques, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
    • Provide the boutique network with relevant collection and product information, sales strategies, and selling techniques to enhance customer engagement and sales performance.
    • Plan and execute seasonal product launches, including previewing new collections for Elite and VIC clients, trunk shows, and fashion shows.
    • Work with Visual Merchandising to develop collection and product launches, boutique remerchandising, and season-end sales.
    • Plan and implement seasonal markdown schedules, providing markdown lists for all boutiques.
    • Propose season-end discounts and control discount levels to ensure alignment with budget.
    • Prepare review reports on product performance, analyzing sales data and proposing action plans to improve sales and profitability.
    • Analyze sales performance through sell-through analysis and propose strategies to improve sales and inventory management.
    • Control inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste.
    • Arrange retail pricing for all markets to align with company price policy and global positioning.
    • Arrange the transfer of merchandise to maximize sell-through percentage.
    • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, market and product trends, and pricing to inform business decisions.
  • Others:
    • Compile regular sales analysis reports for the region to assess sales performance across all product categories.
    • Provide weekly sales performance reports, monthly sales forecasts, best-seller reports, and ad-hoc reports as required.
Requirements
  • Education & Professional Qualifications:
    • University graduate in Fashion Merchandising or a related discipline.
  • Work Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in merchandising for luxury goods and services, preferably in the fashion industry.
  • Skills:
    • General computer literacy and strong Excel skills.
    • Training and coaching skills.
    • Language skills: English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, with other language abilities an added advantage.
