Position Overview
As a pivotal member of the credit risk management team, you will be instrumental in evaluating credit applications submitted by various business units. Your expertise will guide the execution of delegated lending authority within a centralized risk management framework, encompassing both local and cross-border lending portfolios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough credit assessments to support informed decision-making on credit applications.
  • Implement lending authority in accordance with established risk management protocols.
  • Collaborate with section heads and the Co-Head of the Credit Risk Management Department to identify, evaluate, and report on credit risks, ensuring compliance with the Bank's policies and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in special projects related to credit risk management as directed by the Co-Head of the department.
  • Engage in ongoing communication with business units to ensure adherence to risk control guidelines and procedures.
  • Fulfill the 1st Line of Defence responsibilities for various risk types as defined by the Board's Enterprise Risk Management framework.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards, executing duties with the utmost integrity.
  • Ensure effective identification, assessment, reporting, mitigation, and monitoring of risks in daily operations.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in credit assessment and approval within commercial or corporate lending sectors.
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience in mentoring or managing junior team members.
  • Professional qualifications in finance or accounting (e.g., ACCA, CFA, FRM) or a relevant degree are advantageous.
  • Experience with cross-border lending, syndicate loans, or property financing is a plus.
  • Preferred background includes experience in large banking institutions.
  • Fluency in both English and Chinese (Cantonese) is essential.
