Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Freight Forwarding Team Manager to join our team in Asia. As a key member of our Control Tower Account Management Team, you will be responsible for proactively growing client relationships by building and implementing solutions to their critical supply chain challenges.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as a manager or team leader, with a strong track record of successfully delivering innovation and driving results. They will also have experience working as an Asia control tower of freight forwarding clients, with a proven ability to build client relationships globally and leverage those relationships to grow the business partnership.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the Asia point of contact for designated clients who require control tower service from Flexport
  • Conducting regular touch points with clients to build up strong relationships and trusted partnerships
  • Understanding the operations requirements, expectations, and challenges from clients through seamless communication
  • Setting up internal and external processes to fulfill client requirements
  • Maintaining clear documentation of client requirements and updating operating procedures, service level agreements, and operation metrics reports

You will also be expected to demonstrate exceptional negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt your style and approach to local business cultures. A high degree of collaboration and a commitment to equal opportunity are essential qualities for this role.
