Job Title: Head of Portfolio Management and Payment

Hang Seng Bank Limited is seeking a high-caliber professional to join our team as Head of Portfolio Management and Payment. This role is responsible for formulating business plans and pricing strategies to accelerate growth in unsecured lending, domestic and international payment volume, product profitability, risk-adjusted returns, and market share.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement robust business plans and pricing strategies to drive growth in unsecured lending and payment volume.
  • Lead the development of new product features, digital capabilities, sales channels, and innovations to strengthen loan-on-card, personal loans, and payment propositions, and enhance customer experience.
  • Steer the design and development of customer-led loan origination and payment journeys and drive digitalization of transactions.
  • Devise insight-led acquisition, usage, and retention strategies to grow and sustain relationships with strategic segments throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Risk on credit risk and opportunities management, including review of underwriting criteria, evaluation, and balancing of risks taken and revenue generated.
  • Lead partnership management and maintain collaborative relationships with clients, merchants, and partners within the payment ecosystem.
Requirements:
  • Over 15 years of relevant experience in unsecured lending or payments and transactional banking products or similar product and service management within retail banking.
  • Experience of product management, organizational leadership, and commercial management of transactional banking products.
  • Strong technical knowledge of retail banking products and market/industry review for strategy formulation.
  • Demonstrate change leadership and strategic focus with a strong Growth Mindset and passion to champion change and promote innovation.
  • Strong customer-centricity focus to deliver market-leading products, services, and experience to targeted customers.
  • Highly effective navigation within a complex matrix environment, governance standards, and regulatory context with agile ways of working and strong engagement with different levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong track record in orchestrating and leading strategy development, business planning, and implementations across multiple business and functional stakeholders to successful completion.
  • Seasoned people leadership to engage, motivate, and develop a diverse team; drive a strong performance culture with clear aligned direction; build a talent pipeline and business bench strength.
  • Strong outcomes focus with adaptability, sound judgment, and business insights in decision-making, and accountability in delivery.
  • University degree in Investment, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, or related disciplines.
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese.
