Payroll and Benefits Manager

We are seeking a skilled Payroll and Benefits Manager to join our team in Hong Kong. As an Associate Director, Global Talent Acquisition, you will play a key role in driving business success through effective payroll and benefits management.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has a passion for delivering exceptional results and is looking for a new challenge in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in monthly payroll processing for Hong Kong, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HK Employment Ordinance.
- Supporting salary adjustments, bonus calculations, and incentive payments.
- Ensuring accurate payroll data, including Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) contributions and tax reporting (IRD submissions – IR56B, IR56F, etc.).
- Maintaining and updating payroll records while ensuring confidentiality.
- Assisting in payroll-related budgeting and forecasting.
- Collaborating with Finance and HR teams to ensure smooth payroll operations, including tax filings and audits.
- Supporting payroll system implementation and enhancements, working with HRIS vendors.
- Handling employee inquiries regarding payroll, MPF, tax, and benefits.
- Preparing FTE (Full-Time Equivalent) reports and monitoring workforce trends for business planning.
- Supporting workforce budgeting and forecasting to align with company growth and financial targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in payroll, C&B, or workforce planning, preferably in a multinational or sizable organization.
- Strong knowledge of HK Employment Ordinance, MPF regulations, and Inland Revenue Department (IRD) tax filing requirements.
- Experience in salary structures, benefits programs, incentive plans, and workforce forecasting.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in HRIS / payroll systems (experience in system implementation is a plus).
- Advanced Excel skills for payroll, compensation analysis, and workforce reporting.
- Proactively communicating with supervisors if issues arise and providing solutions.
- Able to adjust to changing business needs and work in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to identify challenges and propose practical solutions.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.
- Fluent in English and Cantonese (spoken and written).
