Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Development Manager – Data Center to join our team. This role will be responsible for leading the development and acquisition strategy for data center projects in Hong Kong, including land, utilities, connectivity, and government relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective strategies for data center site selection, project development, and launch in Hong Kong.
  • Provide guidance to the Finance & Analysis team regarding resource capital budgets and perform complex business case analysis to justify project scope.
  • Collaborate with various teams to support the development and launch of data centers in Hong Kong, ensuring timely completion and delivery.
  • Manage relationships with external consultants and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, focusing on negotiation and contract management.
  • Work closely with the Sales & Business team to understand customer demands and requirements, incorporating them into project development.
  • Establish strong relationships with local authorities for project approval and delivery, leveraging knowledge of data center site selection requirements and project development mechanisms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business, or equivalent work experience in data center infrastructure projects.
  • 3+ years of experience in data center-related roles such as site selection, business development, or project development, or 5+ years of experience in developing large commercial buildings or logistics parks.
  • Strong understanding of data center site selection requirements and project development mechanisms, as well as knowledge and experience with large-scale power systems and negotiation with vendors, suppliers, consultants, and government agencies.
  • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams.
