Purpose

  • Lead and manage a team of cloud operations specialists to support FWD Group's business objectives and goals.
  • Develop and implement infrastructure solutions that meet the strategic priorities of the business unit.
  • Design and maintain automation tools to improve cloud operations efficiency.
  • Become a domain expert in cloud management.

Key Accountabilities

  • Evaluate and resolve service issues, and design tools to prevent problem recurrence.
  • Provide support to manage cloud security settings and collaborate with developers and security teams.
  • Participate in creating and maintaining automated monitoring and reporting of cloud infrastructure health, performance, and cost control.
  • Manage the monitoring, updating, optimization, redundancy, and stability of cloud systems.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code to improve accuracy and efficiency of cloud operations.
  • Participate in cloud projects and ensure the team follows Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Lead the cloud operations team to provide day-to-day support and 7x24 hours support for business systems.
  • Manage the implementation of cloud programs by coordinating project management activities.
  • Establish strong relationships with vendors and system integrators to maximize FWD's investment in new technology.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Degree holder in Computer Science or Information Technology with over 6 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in a managerial role.
  • ITIL foundation certification with relevant experience in this area.
  • Holder of professional qualifications, such as AWS or Azure certification, is highly desirable.
  • Solid experience in regional hybrid environments, multi-availability zones, and multi-landing zones.
  • Experience and knowledge of containers, orchestration tools, and container administration.

Knowledge & Technical Skills

  • Project management skills are preferred.
  • Advanced level in cloud services, including knowledge of multiple AWS services.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Ansible or Terraform.
  • Ability to participate in fast-paced DevOps and Engineering teams within Scrum agile processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Perseverance and rigor in tasks to accomplish.
  • Ability to respect commitments, prioritize tasks, and follow procedures.
  • Oriented on teamwork, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Autonomy.
