Role Overview

Oversee and direct the Cloud Operations team (AWS) to support FWD Life Insurance Corporation in achieving its strategic objectives; Develop a comprehensive understanding of critical business sectors to design, develop, and implement infrastructure solutions that align with corporate goals; Create and sustain automation solutions for infrastructure using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and CloudFormation to enhance cloud operations; Establish expertise in Cloud management practices.

Key Responsibilities

Assess, address, and resolve service-related issues while designing tools and automation to mitigate future occurrences; Provide assistance to support teams regarding cloud (AWS) inquiries, system configurations, and troubleshooting; Manage security settings within the cloud (AWS) environment; Collaborate with developers, security personnel, and project teams to establish and maintain the cloud (AWS) infrastructure; Engage in the creation and maintenance of automated monitoring and reporting systems for cloud (AWS) infrastructure health, performance, and cost management; Supervise the monitoring, updating, optimization, and stability of cloud (AWS) systems; Implement Infrastructure as Code to enhance the precision and efficiency of cloud (AWS) operations; Participate in any cloud (AWS) initiatives as required by the organization; Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in daily operations; Lead the cloud (AWS) operations team in providing continuous support for FWD Life Insurance Corporation and ensure compliance with defined service level agreements; Coordinate the implementation of cloud programs by managing all project-related activities; Build strong relationships with key vendors and system integrators to maximize FWD's investment in emerging technologies.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with over 6 years of relevant experience, including 2 years in a managerial capacity; ITIL foundation certification with applicable experience; Preferred professional qualifications, such as AWS or Azure certifications; Extensive experience in a regional hybrid environment, with multi-availability zones and landing zones; Proficient knowledge of containers, orchestration tools, and container management, such as AWS EKS and Kubernetes, along with Infrastructure as Code (Ansible/Terraform).

Knowledge and Technical Skills

Project management skills are advantageous; Advanced understanding of cloud (AWS) services, ideally with familiarity in multiple AWS offerings including Compute, Storage, Containers, Serverless, Analytics, Database, and Management & Governance; Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Ansible and Terraform; Ability to engage in fast-paced DevOps and Engineering teams within Agile Scrum methodologies; Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; Commitment to thoroughness and diligence in task execution; Capacity to meet commitments, prioritize tasks, and adhere to procedures; Team-oriented, collaborative, and knowledge-sharing mindset; Excellent problem-solving abilities; Self-sufficiency.
