About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Securities Lending team in Asia. As the Head of Securities Lending Trading, you will be responsible for driving business growth and profitability for our Equity Finance business in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Securities Lending team in Asia, focusing on sourcing and distributing stock for external clients and internal trading desks.
  • Manage external relationships, including agent lenders, brokers, clients, and service providers.
  • Develop data and relationship-driven approaches to deliver the best outcomes for Macquarie and our clients.
  • Play a crucial role in effective risk and control management, ensuring trading risks are foreseen, managed, and escalated.
  • Collaborate with the wider team on strategic system enhancement and identify and mitigate operational risk.
Requirements
  • Deep knowledge and experience in Securities Lending, Repo, Equity Swaps, Funding Instruments, FX, and Interest Rate products.
  • A well-developed understanding of equity markets and a desire to continue learning in relevant areas.
  • Ability to navigate the structural and regulatory environment.
  • Working understanding of legal documentation required for Securities Lending and Repo.
  • Experience as a people manager with a strong work ethic.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships with external clients and counterparties, and internal stakeholders.
