Airline Account Manager

The Role
We are seeking a driven and commercially savvy Airline Account Manager to join our team in Spain. Reporting to the Airline Director, you will be tasked with developing and implementing the airline commercial strategy aimed at enhancing growth and market share across Spain as a key market. This position involves overseeing airline initiatives and strategic projects that establish strong partnerships with our airline partners. The ideal candidate will collaborate with teams in France and Italy as well as across the European region, hence we seek someone who is flexible, innovative, and a collaborative team player.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the relationships between Trip's Airline partners in the Spanish Market.
Build new partnerships by contracting local, regional and global airline partners.
Work alongside our local product marketing team to grow the local Spanish market sales through the development of targeted marketing campaigns.
Build trust and grow the business through regular communication and collaboration with our airline partners.
Participate in national and international tradeshows where relevant.
Work together with multiple internal teams to create long term growth in the local market.
Be responsible for designing and executing on the short, mid and long term market strategy.
Work with our partners daily to ensure we have the most competitive content available in the local market and work with them on special promotions and creative sales initiatives.
As a market leader, you will report to the regional director providing market insight and offer recommendations on how to improve the business and achieve the desired results.
Requirements
Role will be home-based in Madrid.
Language ability: Proficient in Spanish and English.
Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Experience developing and implementing initiatives to drive performance with key partners.
Ability to work autonomously and lead a wide variety of projects at a time whilst working to strict deadlines.
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, must be able to use data to identify underlying trends and make informed commercial decisions.
Self-starter mentality, intrinsically motivated and comfortable blazing a completely new path and defining innovative solutions for our airline partners.
Proven and demonstrated experience with leading and closing commercial negotiations with airline or online travel agency partners.
Consistent and prove track record in successfully managing key accounts and driving revenue growth.
Minimum 3-4 years of commercial experience within an airline or online travel agency environment.
Bachelor degree or above.
