About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cargo Operations Manager to join our team at AirAsia. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and cost-effective processing of our cargo shipments and charter flights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate cargo operational activities to ensure efficient and safe processing of cargo shipments and charter flights.
  • Lead a team of Cargo Supervisors across China and implement quality control measures to ensure compliance with aviation regulations.
  • Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and service standards for airport cargo operations.
  • Direct and ensure compliance with established AOC policies, procedures, and standards in accordance with government regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including customer services, cargo terminal operators, customers, and Customs to ensure smooth operations.
  • Investigate and report incidents of cargo damage or chargeable delays, and implement corrective action.
  • Review and analyze operational reports to ensure proper dissemination and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide operations support to the sales team and ensure customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Assure the correct and full use of operation enabling applications, such as SmartKargo and Freightchain systems.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of cargo operations, ramp operations, flight operations, and cargo handling procedures.
  • Ability to read, fluently speak, and understand English and Chinese Mandarin languages.
  • Good communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and days off.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and management skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
