The Hong Kong Palace Museum is a renowned institution dedicated to showcasing exquisite artefacts from the Palace Museum's collections. As a Content Manager, you will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining editorial standards and guidelines for all publications and public-facing materials.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Museum Publishing and Editorial, you will be responsible for managing publication production processes, budgeting, editing, and collaborating with museum staff and outside partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee content development, timely delivery of publications, and brand image maintenance;
  • Manage publication budgets, procure services from contractors/vendors, and edit outgoing materials;
  • Contribute to revenue growth through publication-related fundraising initiatives and grant reports;
  • Supervise assistant managers and associate editors;
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including publishers, printers, and consultants;

You should have:

  • A recognised university degree in Languages, Literature, Art History, History, Journalism, or relevant disciplines;
  • Approximately 8 years of experience in editing art, design, and culture-related publications; work experience gained from museums or art organisations is an asset;
  • Solid editing skills in creating innovative publications, excellent organisational abilities, and meticulous attention to detail;
  • Experience in publishing processes, book distributions, and managing editorial work;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese; knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage;

This role requires exceptional organisational skills, the ability to work under pressure, and manage multiple projects concurrently. The salary range for this position is approximately HKD 55,000 - HKD 75,000 per month, depending on experience.
