Located in the heart of West Kowloon, we are seeking an experienced Editorial Specialist to join our team at the Hong Kong Palace Museum. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of engaging publications that showcase the museum's collections and collaborations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our supervisor with various writing, editing, and editorial tasks, including calendar planning, workflow coordination, fact-checking, source verification, and information research. They will also support the monitoring and reviewing of production details for publications, articles, multimedia content, and online materials.

In this role, you will work closely with other teams within the museum to ensure that all content and materials align with standards and requirements. You will also coordinate with vendors, including writers, translators, and copy-editors, to deliver high-quality written materials within specified timelines.

We are looking for someone with a recognised university degree in Languages, Literature, Art History, History, Journalism, or a related discipline. A minimum of 3 years of experience in publication or editing related to art or culture is essential, with proficiency in InDesign and typesetting skills being a plus.

This is a fixed-term contract position of 2 years, with the possibility of renewal subject to organisational needs and individual performance. The salary for this role is estimated to be around HKD 60,000 - HKD 80,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.

To be successful in this role, you should have solid editing experience, excellent English language skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. You should also be creative, mature, independent, and a problem-solver with good project and budget management skills.
