Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG), a leading global financial institution, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Trader to join our FX Markets team in Asia. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Department Head in building and maintaining a strong franchise in local markets, including China and Hong Kong Dollar (HKD) markets.
  • Utilize specialist knowledge to support the Asia Global Markets Desk (AGMD) in developing and executing HKD market business strategies.
  • Generate revenue through market making under authorized limits, leveraging clients' flow while adhering to regulators' and internal rules.
  • Provide expert knowledge on local markets, updating market information and trader views to support clients' decision-making.
  • Maintain close relationships with stakeholders to ensure seamless transaction execution and collaboration.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Sales & Trading to achieve business objectives, while maintaining strong relationships and sharing market insights across MUFG branches.
  • Assist in training junior traders under the guidance of the Head of Department (HOD) or Department Head (DH).

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Business, Finance, or Science.
  • At least 12 years of experience in MUFG or a Trading Department, including FX and IR trading.
  • Excellent trading skills, with a balance of risk and opportunity management.
  • In-depth knowledge of derivatives local markets (CNH and HKD markets) and ability to handle large-sized tickets.
  • Familiarity with local inter-bank networks and ability to build strong relationships.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) for effective communication.
