Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Artistic Director to ensure the artistic vision is realized;
  • Oversee daily operations of the organization, including budgeting, program development, coordination, and administration;
  • Manage funding applications, program proposals, contracts, and other administrative tasks related to productions and educational initiatives;
  • Coordinate rehearsals, performances, and touring logistics;
  • Ensure compliance with funding agreements and prepare necessary reports;
  • Supervise financial resources, including budget planning and expense monitoring;
  • Support internship fellows and foster a collaborative and creative environment;
  • Build and maintain relationships with dancers, choreographers, guest artists, and other stakeholders;
  • Maintain an archive of the organization's activities;
  • Organize and prepare for Board meetings.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role within non-profit and professional services;
  • Ability to devise creative solutions to challenges;
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work;
  • Adaptable and thrives in dynamic environments;
  • Willingness to travel occasionally;
  • Permanent resident status;
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in arts administration, event management, or marketing communications;
  • Passion for and knowledge of the performing arts;
  • Experience with bookkeeping and financial management;
  • Excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English, with proficiency in Putonghua being advantageous;
  • Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal and presentation skills;
  • Creative, proactive, well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently;
  • Proficient in MS Office and Chinese word processing;
  • Availability to work shifts or public holidays as needed;
  • Immediate availability or short notice period is preferred.
