About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pre-Sales Consultant to join our team in Singapore or Hong Kong. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing assistance to our sales executives in identifying clients' needs, proposing and demonstrating our financial solutions for insurance companies.

As a Pre-Sales Consultant, you will work closely with our sales executives, partners, and product development teams to help identify, develop, and deliver sales of our insurance solutions. You will be responsible for developing and managing client technical and end-user relationships and assisting sales executives in selling the strategic vision at C-level to board level as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gain a thorough understanding of clients' business needs, system needs, and various requirements through direct communication with prospective clients.
  • Help develop and articulate solutions to clients.
  • Conduct Proof of Concept (POC) via developing sample portals, interfaces, workflows, rules, etc. to demonstrate the capability of our entire solution.
  • Demonstrate our financial solutions to current and prospective clients.
  • Provide business and technical input to RFPs, client proposals, etc.
  • Help manage and control the sales cycle from initial prospect contact, client needs analysis, solution presentation, completion of proposals, delivery schedules, and product specifications.
  • Lead GTM initiatives for business development and incremental revenue.
  • Be the customer technical focal point and coordinate with other company resources regionally and locally.
  • Maintain an effective presence at industry events, conferences, seminars, and trainings as required.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in the insurance domain, specifically life insurance. Experience in GI, Reinsurance, or Takaful will be an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience of working on finance transformation projects for insurers, including but not limited to IFRS 17, process automation, and transformation, reporting automation.
  • In-depth understanding of financial software application landscapes.
  • In-depth understanding of IT landscapes for insurers.
  • In-depth knowledge of policy life cycle management and different downstream systems that rely on data from the source policy admin system.
  • Knowledge of the insurance ecosystem is a distinct advantage.
  • Knowledgeable on policy admin system implementation/change management.
  • Knowledge of actuarial systems/process will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the Prophet system is a distinct advantage.
  • Deep understanding of IFRS 17 requirements, ERP solutions, and services.
  • Deep understanding of an insurance company's financial close process.
  • Ability to develop POCs for financial accounting, reporting, business rules, reconciliation, etc.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Team player with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Must have worked in business consultancy-related or any financial system for at least 3 years.
  • Must have experience in financial/accounting systems (preferably insurance-related) at least 8-10 years.
  • Location will be based in Singapore or Hong Kong.
  • Around 15-25% of travel will be required.
  • University graduate.
  • Certified Accountant will be an advantage.
