Job Description: Head of WPB Business Risk Management

We are currently seeking a highly experienced professional to join our department as Head of WPB Business Risk Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating risks across the Wealth & Personal Banking business.

The job holder works closely with business units and senior management to ensure effective risk management practices are in place and risks are within the bank's risk appetite. Key responsibilities include:

  • Risk Governance and Framework: Develop and maintain WPB business risk management governance, framework, policies, and processes.
  • Business Unit Oversight: Provide oversight on business units' risk management practices.
  • Risk Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and report on key risk indicators, risk events, and risk exposures for the WPB business.
  • Risk Assessments and Compliance: Conduct risk assessments and ensure business units comply with regulations and internal policies.
  • Risk Culture: Drive a strong risk culture across the WPB business.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with other risk management functions to ensure a holistic view of risk and lead a team of risk management professionals.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • University Graduate: A university graduate with a minimum of 8 years of retail banking experience, with at least 5 years in risk management.
  • Risk Management Knowledge: Strong knowledge of risk management principles, frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Leadership Experience: Leadership experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent written communication, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Interpersonal and Problem-Solving Skills: Good interpersonal, influencing, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive a diverse group including internal and external partners.
  • Project Management Skill: Project management skill with a track record in managing multiple priorities.
  • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in written and spoken English and Cantonese.

Estimated Salary: HKD 800,000 - HKD 1,200,000 per annum, depending on experience.
