About the Role

We are currently seeking a seasoned financial services professional to lead our digital platform team as the Head of Digital Platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a vision and strategy for our digital platforms to achieve financial, digital penetration, and customer engagement targets.

  • The ideal candidate will provide strategic direction to lead the development and implementation capabilities of our digital platforms, delivering best-in-class customer experience at key touch-points with our digital channels.
  • In close collaboration with our technology team and exploration of fintech/innovation opportunities, the candidate will shape and deliver the roadmap for enhancing our mobile and online banking platforms, aiming to enable value streams to deliver customer journeys more effectively and efficiently, maximize reuse of digital assets across the bank, and ensure regulatory compliance, control, and stability of the platforms.
  • The successful candidate will also provide business leadership and input in ongoing maintenance of the digital platforms, driving experience improvement and optimization of maintenance spend and platform performance.
  • An additional responsibility will be to establish a consistent business architecture across the bank, maximizing effectiveness and efficiency of capabilities.
  • The candidate will also deliver Hang Seng digital capabilities, including everyday banking, transactional, and account services, ensuring timely delivery of these features across multiple digital platforms.
  • The partner with internal and external stakeholders to optimize business and customer delivery in the digital platforms for user engagement.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop vision and strategy for WPB's digital platforms (mobile, online banking, and security) to achieve financial, digital penetration, and customer engagement targets.
  2. Provide strategic direction to lead development and implementation capabilities of WPB's digital platforms delivering best-in-class customer experience at key touch-points with WPB's digital channels.
  3. In close collaboration with WPB Technology and the exploration of fintech/innovation opportunities, shape and deliver the roadmap for enhancing the mobile and online banking platforms for WPB, with the aim to enable the value streams to deliver customer journeys more effectively and efficiently, maximize reuse of digital assets across WPB, as well as ensure regulatory compliance, control, and stability of the platforms.
  4. Establish a consistent business architecture across WPB maximizing effectiveness and efficiency of capabilities.
  5. Deliver Hang Seng digital capabilities including everyday banking, transactional, and account services and ensure the timely delivery of these features across multiple digital platforms with the
  6. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to optimize business & customer delivery in the digital platforms for the best of user engagement.
  7. Define and implement the Agile operating model in WPB to maximize effectiveness and efficiency of change delivery.
  8. Manage operational risks including the identification, assessment, mitigation, and controls, loss identification of, and reporting on those risks.
Requirements
  • Seasoned financial services professional with experiences in project management, digital platforms/products, strategy formulation and implementation, and people management.
  • Strong team leadership to manage project teams and engage with diverse business and functional stakeholders, coach and support teams at different levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with conceptual and analytical capabilities to work with ambiguities.
  • Acute sense of business direction and thorough knowledge of WPB business and Fintech to exercise sound judgment in cross-WPB initiatives.
  • Keep abreast of technology and market developments, and business trends to explore new business and innovative opportunities.
  • Strong sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes.
  • Strong written communication skills, ability to clearly document the current state and the recommendations.
  • University degree in a relevant discipline, or a professional qualification.
  • High proficiency in English and Chinese.
