About the Role

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is seeking an experienced professional to join its Osaka office as an Assistant Marketing Manager. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing promotional strategies to drive business growth in Japan.

Key Responsibilities

  • To develop and recommend effective promotional strategies for assigned industries, aligned with HKTDC's overall objectives.
  • To establish and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, trade associations, multipliers, and key business leaders in assigned industries.
  • To provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • To stay up-to-date with market intelligence in Japan, Hong Kong, and Chinese Mainland, identifying opportunities and challenges that impact HKTDC's business.
  • To coordinate logistical arrangements for speakers and participants from Japan attending HKTDC events in Hong Kong and vice versa.

Requirements

  • University graduate with at least 5 years of working experience in Japan preferred.
  • Experience in liaison with Government, Business organisations, and corporations.
  • Proven track record in organising promotional events such as trade fairs, business seminars, and business delegations.
  • Proficient in English and Japanese (business level).
  • Similar work experience in Trade Promotional Organisations preferred.
  • General office PC skills (WORD/EXCEL/PPT/TEAMS).
