Relationship Manager

Commercial Banking - Business Banking

HSBC's Commercial Banking (CMB) division offers tailored, comprehensive financial solutions to our corporate clients, ranging from prominent small and medium-sized enterprises to publicly traded corporations.

For clients operating locally or internationally, we provide an extensive array of services, including corporate financing, trade and receivables finance, structured lending, cash management, investment services, treasury solutions, insurance, and digital banking services. As a trusted financial partner, we address the unique business requirements of our clients and deliver efficient, customized banking solutions through our relationship managers and dedicated specialists.

We are currently in search of a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Relationship Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, oversee, and evaluate a portfolio of SME clients by offering suitable commercial banking solutions Achieve or surpass the annual operating plan business objectives while managing operating expenses and credit risk prudently Cultivate strong business relationships with clients and acquire new partnerships through key accounts and strategic alliances Provide mentorship, coaching, and support to junior team members Assess the quality of the loan portfolio and ensure all necessary control measures are implemented to mitigate risk exposure and support overall quality management

Requirements

University degree in Banking, Business Management, Finance, or a related field A minimum of 5 years of sales and marketing experience in commercial lending within the SME sector is preferred Successful completion of the Insurance Intermediaries Qualifying Examinations and fulfillment of the competency requirements to perform regulated activities as outlined under the relevant ordinances Strong self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously Excellent sales and customer service orientation, coupled with strong analytical skills Effective communication skills with the ability to build connections with others Proficiency in both English and Chinese; fluency in Putonghua is an advantage A high level of customer-centric mindset with a commitment to delivering outstanding service quality Candidates with less experience may be considered for the role of Assistant Relationship Manager
