Senior Solution Architect

The Senior Solution Architect plays a pivotal role in shaping technology strategies by translating complex business and technical requirements into clear, integrated architectural solutions. This position drives the creation of future-state roadmaps that span applications and infrastructure, ensuring scalability and alignment with business goals. Acting as a trusted leader, the Senior Solution Architect guides teams in managing a diverse portfolio of solutions, fostering innovation and delivering impactful outcomes across the organization. Responsibilities Be the architectural leadership to define and maintain the enterprise solution architecture in line with group strategic objectives. Develop, update, and oversee comprehensive technology roadmaps and application landscapes that align with business objectives, drive innovation, and ensure scalability for future growth. Formulate and drive solution design & governance process, hosting the technical design board. Lead high-level requirements analysis and translate business needs into comprehensive architectural solutions. Develop and maintain architectural artifacts (e.g., C4 models, network topology, application architecture) as part of an integrated design process. Conduct thorough analysis and provide expert recommendations on the technology stack to be adopted, ensuring alignment with business objectives and future scalability. Evaluate and assess solutions and proposals submitted by IT vendors, ensuring they meet technical requirements and strategic goals. Deliver governance and guidance to engineering leads and delivery teams, safeguarding design integrity and compliance with established standards throughout the development lifecycle. Ensure that all solutions and architectural designs adhere to stringent requirements for security, risk management, and audit standards, maintaining the highest level of compliance and operational resilience. Collaborate with business stakeholders to negotiate design trade-offs and communicate complex technical concepts effectively. Act as the technical lead for major transformation programs and strategic technology initiatives. Qualifications, Training and Experience Minimum 10 years of application/infrastructure design experience, in particular 5 years of being Solution Architect of medium to large size of project implementation. Minimum 3 years of experience in team management. Proven experience in Health Insurance or Health Services domain. Extensive expertise in application architecture modelling, data architecture modelling, and solution portfolio management. Deep understanding of architecture frameworks, technical design principles, integration patterns. Strong leadership in driving critical technology initiatives and influencing technical decisions. Solid experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native application design. Strong expertise in non-functional domains such as information security, performance optimization, scalability assessments, and data privacy. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with business and technical stakeholders. Fluent in English and Cantonese communications.
