About the Role Cloudwise is seeking a Solutions Architect based in Hong Kong to serve as the primary technical authority for enterprise opportunities across banking, financial services and local conglomerates. The role partners with account teams to uncover business drivers, architect secure, scalable cloud and hybrid solutions, and guide prospects from initial discovery through successful closure. Key Responsibilities Collaborating with the business and technical stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives. Design scalable, efficient, and secure solutions that align with business goals. Develop high‑level architecture blueprints and detailed design documentation. Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and frameworks to achieve desired outcomes. Ensure solutions are compliant with security, regulatory, and best practice standards. Troubleshoot and resolve architectural challenges and issues. Conduct performance analysis and optimization of existing systems. Core Competencies & Personal Attributes Strong interpersonal skills; builds trust with both C‑suite and engineering teams. Exceptional communication (oral & written) – able to white‑board a concept or craft a board‑level paper with equal clarity. Meticulous attention to detail; champions documentation, configuration control and audit readiness. Analytical problem solver: Applies structured thinking to decompose complex issues and deliver pragmatic fixes. Qualifications, Skills & Experiences Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of presales / solutions‑architecture experience within banking, government or telecom verticals. Candidates with experience as architects on large projects and delivery experience on complex projects are preferred. Strong experience in ITSM or observable technologies. Proven ability to craft and deliver compelling presentations and client‑ready Proof‑of‑Concepts (POCs), translating complex technical concepts into clear business value for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Having experience in AIOps, business observability, cloud computing, big data, or data analysis is an advantage. Native Cantonese speaker with business‑fluent English and working‑level Mandarin (conversational and reading).
