Senior Executive Officer / Executive Officer (several posts) INSTITUTE FOR HIGHER EDUCATION RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT Senior Executive Officer / Executive Officer (several posts) (Ref. -IE) Duties Under the auspices of the Vice President (Education), the Institute for Higher Education Research and Development (IHERD) serves as the central catalyst for education transformation at the University. The institute seeks high‑calibre individuals who share their commitment to impactful, innovative and excellent education to join its central team. The appointees will work closely with the Director of IHERD and be responsible for duties across the following key areas based on their strengths and qualifications: 1. Office Management & Strategic Administration Oversee core functions including staffing coordination, budget management, procurement, space allocation and records management; Support committees and task groups through secretariat functions; and Manage education innovation grants from inception to completion. Lead the establishment, operation and development of the Education Transformation Consortium; and Cultivate and maintain effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. 3. Marketing & Events Execute marketing and communication strategies for IHERD initiatives across publications, digital platforms and social media; and Plan and deliver high‑quality events, workshops and conferences. 4. Technical Support & Project Coordination Coordinate technical requirements for operations and events; and Support project delivery through operational coordination and resource management. The appointees will also be required to: (a) Lead and optimise several business processes to deliver the strategic priorities as advised by the management team; (b) Collaborate proactively and closely with all IHERD divisions to ensure effective project planning and execution; (c) Provide high‑level support for meetings and reporting (e.g., preparing briefings, presentations and reports), ensuring professional communication with stakeholders; and (d) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of IHERD or his delegates. Qualifications For the post of Senior Executive Officer , applicants should have a recognised degree in a relevant discipline plus at least eight years of solid and relevant experience. For the post of Executive Officer , applicants should have a recognised degree in a relevant discipline plus at least five years of solid and relevant experience. For all posts , applicants should also: (a) Have proven expertise in one or more key responsibility areas; (b) Have impeccable interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders; (c) Have demonstrated proactive problem‑solving skills and agile thinking, with a positive outlook; (d) Be able to thrive in dynamic environments, embrace innovation, drive changes and foster teamwork to optimise processes; (e) Have excellent time‑management skills and the ability to deliver quality outcomes according to project timeline; and (f) Have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage. Preference will be given to those with relevant experience gained in tertiary institutions. Candidates with diverse skills relevant to the job requirements and a high degree of positivity will have a definite advantage.
