Citi Kowloon City District, Hong Kong SAR Branch Operations Manager The Branch Operations Senior Supervisor provides leadership and supervisory responsibility for a medium-sized operational/administrative team of clerical/support employees. There is a good understanding of procedures and concepts within the supervisor’s technical/subject area and a basic knowledge of other areas to understand how they relate to the supervisor’s domain. The supervisor understands how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/job family. The role improves process efficiencies in support of unit objectives, requires a basic conceptual/practical grounding in policies as they apply to the business, and involves developing communication and diplomacy skills to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. The supervisor typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact, influences decisions through advice, counsel, facilitation, or joint accountability for volume, quality and timeliness of end results, and ensures compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations. Responsibilities Provide support for operations activities in the Branch Channel segment. Contribute to workflow or process change and redesign, and form a basic understanding of the specific product or process. May be accountable for regular reporting or process administration as an owner. Provide indirect oversight to a small team of individual contributors. Submit work to senior team members for review/approval. Train team members, monitor quantity and quality of work and provide performance feedback. Own full supervisory responsibilities, including performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary action and terminations, and direction of daily tasks. Assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrate consideration for the firm’s reputation, safeguard Citigroup, clients and assets, drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, apply sound ethical judgment, and effectively supervise activities and create accountability. Qualifications 2–5 years of relevant experience. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Education Bachelor’s, University degree, or equivalent experience. This position falls under the Mandatory Reference Checking (MRC) Scheme, a standardised reference‑checking arrangement that supports the integrity of institutions regulated by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.
