To strengthen Hong Kong's role as Asia's international business platform, we organise more than 30 world-class international trade fairs in Hong Kong each year. These fairs, which cover various industries and sectors, create opportunities for companies to promote their products or services to buyers from all over the world.Responsibilities:Reporting to the Section Head, Business Development, the jobholder is to act as the project manager of assigned projects. Main duties include:To plan and execute the exhibitor recruitment plan in local and worldwide markets to achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets To liaise with external and internal parties, including local and overseas trade/industry associations, other organisers and co-organisers, to develop and implement the projects To manage business development initiatives for exhibitions and digital platform sponsorships, including trade fairs, online platforms, and digital marketing channels, to meet sales and revenue goal To coordinate with and to work closely with worldwide sales agents for exhibitor recruitment To develop and maintain good relations with industry players to understand their needs and market trend as well as identify opportunities for promoting further business To expand and upgrade the exhibition by recruiting quality exhibitors and promoting new and interesting products on exhibits To conduct sales activities, if necessary, such as briefing sessions, sales trips, roadshows, etc. To provide professional and good services to customers Requirements:A recognised university degree with at least 10 years’ solid working experience, preferably with sizeable organisations Candidate come from Exhibition / Event Management with Sales experience is highly preferred Good understanding of Hong Kong’s economy, trade and business arena covering key industries and markets as well as opportunities and challenges of SMEs Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua; knowledge of a third language will be an advantage A strong team player with excellent leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills Self-motivated and detail-minded with good project management ability Outgoing and be appreciate to work with people of different cultures Innovative, flexible and be able to deliver under time and resource pressures Willing to work overtime and on weekends or public holidays as necessary Remuneration and Benefits:The successful candidate will be appointed on a fixed-term contract basis, renewable subject to operational needs.
