As a future Head of Institutional Sales Asia, you will report to Head of Core Client Group APAC, and you will be part of AXA IM Core.

DISCOVER your opportunity

Implement a successful sales plan which targets major institutions in Asia requiring identification of new business opportunities and driving transactions. The scope of the role includes the entire Institutional Market within Asia (excluding Japan & Australia)

Your role and responsibilities will include:
  • Develop new business with major institutions in Asia.
  • Manage and be responsible for the Asia Core Client Group's Institutional Sales Team (North Asia & South-East Asia)
  • Meet the defined sales targets through implementation of a successful sales plan which targets major institutions in Asia requiring identification of new business opportunities and driving transactions.
  • Develop but also maintain strong relationships with institutional sales accounts via a strategic programme of calls, meetings and attendance at industry events.
  • Play a key role in servicing existing clients of AXA IM in the Asia region as well as cross-selling activities.
  • Effectively communicate the investment style, products and performance to prospective clients across all major asset classes.
  • Build strong internal relationships with the Investment Teams and other relevant internal functions to provide market intelligence and to identify new product opportunities via regular meetings and informal contacts.
  • Work collegially with other sales counterparts, i.e. Fund Distribution, Consultant Relations, Marketing & Client Servicing, to maximize business development opportunities
Your Profile

The ideal candidate is a tenacious and highly energetic individual who is driven by results. S/he should have a strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to demonstrate a strong track record in sales and marketing. Bringing a robust understanding of the market in which s/he operates, the ideal candidate will combine individual drive with flexibility and team-orientated qualities.

Your qualifications and experience:
  • Degree and/or an MBA or MS degree
  • CFA is desirable
  • 15 years in a senior institutional sales role from the asset management industry with solid track record.
  • Solid client contacts with major institutions in the Asia Region (HK, China, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan etc).
  • Experience in servicing institutional clients in the Asia region (As above)
  • Strong ability to identify business opportunities, initiate contact and close new business.
  • Extensive knowledge in Fixed Income & Equities investing and a thorough understanding of world investment markets and associated products across the increasingly broad spectrum of investment strategy available to institutional clients.
  • Fluent in English & Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin). Other Asian Languages would be an advantage.
