Are you a strategic leader with a passion for digital transformation and governance? HSBC is looking for an experienced Senior leader to take on the pivotal role of Digital Platform Governance & Oversight Lead.

The North Star team is responsible for driving HSBC’s bold vision to create the next-generation mobile banking app, delivering deeper customer engagement, standardized global experiences, cutting-edge technology, and personalized insights. We aim to develop the #1 banking app in the world, transforming how millions of customers engage with their finances.
You will work directly with the Head of Digital Platform Transformation & Operations, you’ll shape and coordinate governance across critical digital value streams, including flagship initiatives like Project North Star and Security as a Platform.

- Lead Governance Strategy : Establish and embed robust governance processes to ensure seamless operation and service availability for HSBC’s digital platforms, supporting millions of customers globally
- Facilitate High-Level Forums: Prepare and present materials for executive forums, including Steering Committees, ExCo, and CEO updates
- Drive Programme Delivery : Manage end-to-end reporting, financial tracking, resourcing, and re-prioritization for the Central Transformation Office and key value streams
- Lead a Global Team : Oversee onshore and offshore transformation teams, ensuring alignment with HSBC’s change management standards and risk frameworks
- 10+ years’ experience in similar roles in a Digital Environment with experience of large-scale, complex change programmes, within the financial services industry
- Excellent problem solving and influencing skills. Previous management consulting experience is highly desired, with core consulting skills in story boarding, project leadership, and independently formulating points of views / recommendations a definite advantage
- Experience in a global or regional roles, with proven experience in working in a cross functional matrix environment with market and global teams
- Excellent track record in managing complex change, with previous experience in Technology related change
- Very strong communication skills – both in verbal and written form – with the ability to write executive level reports and compile high-quality presentation packs for C-suite level consumption
- Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills
