We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Head of Product

Principal responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and Head of Client Management of HSIL, the job holder is accountable for taking charge of the product portfolio covering equity and non-equity, ESG and data, and digital products ensuring the right products are delivered with high quality and service stability.
  • Define and execute the overall product strategy and product roadmap, covering all products including data, index and digital products, aligning with business objectives and market trends to drive innovation and growth to ensure profitability of product suite.
  • Oversee the product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch and post-launch evaluation to demising obsolete products, ensuring successful commercialisation and optimal product shelf.
  • Continuously monitor market development and engage with clients and stakeholders to gather feedback and insights in order to enhance the product/index as needed, ensuring alignment with market trends and client expectations.
  • Oversee index manufacturing and delivery and contingency management to ensure accurate index calculation and uninterrupted index dissemination
  • Lead the review team to conduct regular constituent review adhering with the methodology, standards, processes and controls
  • Drive the development of cost-efficient and scalable data capability and solutions for index compilations and management
  • Facilitate and encourage index adoption by providing index strategic research
  • Ensure product launch, review and refinement are in compliant of all HSIL and HASE governance and control requirements
  • Support cross functions collaborations within HSIL and with HASE on product related matters
Requirements
  • University degree or above in Finance / Economics / Statistics
  • Preferably a CFA charterholder or with an MBA
  • Over 12 years of relevant experience in financial industry and a minimum of 5 years in managerial role
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in English, Cantonese and Putonghua
  • High level of customer centricity mindset with dedication to deliver exceptional quality services for customers
